Resource Pack: Visionary Women Around the World

What’s the story?

Debut author/illustrator Vashti Harrison pairs captivating text with stunning illustrations as she tells the stories of both iconic and less well-known figures in her stunning series, ‘Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History’, ‘Little Leaders: Visionary Women Around the World’  and ‘Little Leaders: Exceptional Men in Black History’.

In these biographies, readers will find heroes, role models and everyday people who did extraordinary things. Did you know that Wi-Fi was invented by a glamorous Hollywood star? Or that the first computer programmer was a woman born in 1816? Or that Vogue’s editor-at-large read his first Vogue magazine in his local library?

This resource pack includes:

You’ll find seven, hour-long lessons that can take place during classes or as extra curricular activities, with Literacy, PSHE and Geography objectives. Debate what it means to be bold and visionary and celebrate the accomplishments of these extraordinary people.

The final outcome is for your pupils to unleash their own little leaders, creating unique and visionary messages of inspiration for themselves and the world. It’s time for your class to join the conversation – how will they change the course of history?
