This has to be one of the biggest creative writing competitions of the year - because your school could win a visit from the absolutely awesome author Jacqueline Wilson! Not only that, but one lucky winner will also get their story published in a Jacqueline Wilson book, a Microsoft Surface, £100’s worth of WH Smith Vouchers, a year’s subscription to First News, AND a book bundle for the school library. 500 runners up will also get their names published in the same Jacqueline Wilson novel.
To enter, children aged 7 - 12 need to write a story between 500 and 750 words. They've got until the end of the summer holidays to think of some ideas and if they need any extra inspiration then Jacqueline will be sharing why she loves stories in The Story-Makers Show on Empathy Day Tuesday 11 June.
To enter online (and for full terms and conditions) simply pop by the Jacqueline Wilson website, where you'll find all the details or you can send them via the post (make sure to include the downloadable entry form) and submit to:Jacqueline Wilson Creative Writing Prize 2019, Penguin Random House Children’s, Publicity, 7th Floor, 80 Strand, London WC2R 0RL
