Thursday 7 March 2019 - World Book Day - For all

World Book Day's message is all about the importance of sharing stories. The free Puffin World Book Day show will explore why stories are powerful and how they can change the world. All you need to watch is a screen, an internet connection and a classroom of budding authors and illustrators.

There'll be a draw-along with former Watersones Children's Laureate Chris Riddell, and interviews with authors Karyn Parsons (who you might also know as Hilary from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) and Humza Ashard about how they transformed their family stories into novels. Plus there's going to be an epic rap battle AKA a Story Slam at the end which is not to be missed.

The show is suitable for children of all ages and lasts 30 minutes. You can watch throughout the day in the Shows section of this very website.
