Whole-School Assembly Packs: About Me and Wellbeing

21 December 2020

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Twinkl, who create brilliant education resources, to bring you six assemblies inspired by the Puffin Book of Big Dreams. Published in celebration of Puffin’s 80th birthday, contributions to the book include stories from Jacqueline Wilson, Malorie Blackman and Tom Fletcher, as well as extracts from a few much-loved favourites like Roald Dahl and Eric Carle.

Each assembly focuses on an aspect of wellbeing and dreaming big, two things we believe are really important to encourage children on their journeys through life. Using short stories and poems from the Puffin Book of Big Dreams as an inspirational stimulus, children in Key Stage 1 & 2 will be prompted to think about a whole range of wellbeing themes from kindness to how to solve disputes. They’ll also be inspired to dream big and believe they really can achieve their goals! These assemblies can be used with individual classes or across the whole school.
