Plastic Free July

Join millions of people round the world in making this month plastic free! Plastic Free July is a global movement that encourages people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. Take inspiration from Puffin resources inspired by brilliant books like Clean Up by Nathan Bryon and illustrated by Dapo Adeola and Blue Planet II  by Leisa Stewart-Sharpe and illustrated by Emily Dove.

International Day of Friendship 

Designated by the General Assembly of the United Nations as International Day of Friendship, celebrated the wonder of friendship on 30th July! Get a head-start with Peter Rabbit, who knows all about the importance of being a friend, especially when it comes to nature.  You can be a Friend to Nature with this gorgeous resource pack featuring Peter Rabbit and his Friends and lots of activities for KS1.

Summer of Reading 2021

Coordinated by The Reading Agency, The Summer of Reading brings together over 20 organisations across the reading, literacy and cultural sectors to inspire families to share the love of reading for pleasure, with a programme of free events and resources.  Get children excited about reading now and use the brilliant Puffin booklists to help them pick their next story.

Summer Reading Challenge

This year's theme for the Summer Reading Challenge is Wild World Heroes, not only inspiring children to read but also to discover how they can make a difference to the environment too.   Head to your local library to register and find out about the brilliant books on this year's reading list including Worst. Holiday. Ever by Charlie Higson.
