What does being kind mean? Using Auggie’s story in Wonder as inspiration, children will create their own Kindness Thesaurus and think about the words they associate with kindness and how kind words can make a positive difference to everyone. It’s time to start choosing kind!
Use the Kindness Thesaurus to introduce the concept of kindness and what it means in a PSHE lesson or to support general classroom learning. Children will develop their vocabulary and have the opportunity to express their thoughts about kindness and how it helps wellbeing. You can use their work to create a #ChooseKind display- perfect for the start of a new term or topic.

The Story-Makers Show was known as Puffin Virtually Live up until March 2019. The content and ambition of the show remains the same: to give every pupil the opportunity to engage with authors and illustrators in their own classroom using the power of the internet.
We’ve re-named Puffin Virtually Live so that it’s easier for new teachers to discover it as part of Puffin Schools and to acknowledge that the show now premieres on show day, rather than being streamed live.
